Person specification - qualifications, skills and aptitudes
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in fields relevant for the successful execution of the role
- Certification in teaching from a recognised institution
- Minimum of two years of experience in an educational leadership role in an internationally accredited school with a minimum of 5 years as a teacher in an internationally accredited school or national/state school with an English language curriculum
- Proven leadership skills in group facilitation, organisation, writing, listening and communication through multiple media
- Familiarity and experience with accreditation procedures, International Baccalaureate programs or those programs approved by the Board of Directors, and current educational practices
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents, staff and other constituencies
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Enhanced police clearance to work with children and in schools
Highly desirable:
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Administration or other related field from a recognized institution with focus on domains relevant for educational leadership and innovation
- A range of active personal interests and passions
- Experience of living and working in an international context
- Spoken and written competences in additional languages, and a willingness to learn new ones
- Evidence of successful endeavours in areas not necessarily related to education
- An active commitment to initiatives that promote social and planetary welfare and sustainable practices
